Slowpour started when our founder Maya Lin couldn't find a cafe in the Mission that had both genuinely good coffee and a reliable internet connection. So she built one herself — with input from 60 regulars who filled out a Google Form about what they actually needed in a workspace.
Five years later, we've hosted over 400 events, launched the SF Slowpour Community Fund, and still greet most of our morning regulars by name.

I've tried every cafe in the Mission. Slowpour is the only one where I can actually focus. The wifi is real, the seats are comfortable, and nobody gives you a look when you order a second coffee three hours later.
The matcha here is the real deal — not the sweet powdery stuff you get elsewhere. And the almond croissant? I dream about it. Honestly my most productive days happen here.
We held our entire seed-round prep here over two weeks. The private call booths saved us during investor calls. And no one ever bothered us. Slowpour gets it.
